Just wanted to say Cole Johnson enjoyed Top Gun on Sat. May 9th, however is there anyway that racing can start earlier in the day? 65 Open & 50 Open were ran together and it was race 13. It was almost 11pm when we left the track. The Peewees had not even ran their last moto so I know those little guys were tired! My Cole is 8 and they usually go to track around 11am or 12 noon to get a spot and sign-up and get ready for practice. By the time they run their first set of motos these boys are getting wore out! I think Midnight is a bit late to keep these kids out. Other tracks are starting earlier so I don't understand why Top Gun starts so late. Iron City is running this SX track so races go much faster. The SX track is a whole other topic. Please think about the time because Top Gun is a long track and if you have rain delays and injuries it makes it even later. I think more would come out if you would start sooner and keep prices where they used to be. Again, Cole loves the track but the kid is asleep on the way out of the gate! lol. See you at Iron City next week!

I wasn't there, and it wasn't a JMX race, but maybe, just maybe, about an hour and a half delay for thunderstorms might have had something to do with it.
Maybe?

I thought the delay was longer than that - storm, time to work the track... Then there was an injury or two that had caused minimal delays. This was not a usual night at topgun. We are usually done before dark and don't get time under the lights. Just have to take the good with the bad. At least we still got to race and the track came around really good according to my rider. We worried he would not be able to handle the 85 in the mud but he did fine. We left happy with the circumstances, better than not running at all or a one moto format.
