Catheys Creek Update for November 1
November 1, 2009
Unfortunately the rain took a little longer to move through then originally forecast.
At 4 AM and it was still drizzling.
Because we had moved a lot of dirt earlier in the week to replace dirt that had washed away since the May 2 race there are places that would be pretty wet.
In addition to that factor the hydraulic pump went out on our dozer yesterday and I am not sure that I can scrape the mud off some sections with the equipment I have remaining at the track.
What it boils down to is that I am not sure I can have the track in as good condition as I would like. I would rather be up front about that than have people upset or disappointed.
Because of that we will be canceling the practice day scheduled for November 1.
We may try again on one of the upcoming Sundays. We will be doing some more work to the track this week so it will firm up and hold up better if we get rain the day before next time.
Sorry for any inconvenience. We were excited about seeing a lot of you that we haven't seen in a while. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate
